A FEW WAYS TO GET CULTURED

So while making new friends via twitter I found a few pictures of a few old friends who've been cultured.

This is one of our favorite Girl Wonders Drea. She the lead singer of He Say She Say, songwriter (for many singers you probably already know) ,born in Milwuakee became a star in Chicago. She received her customized bowtie necklace (black w/purple pyramids) for her birthday.

      Here is our new Instafriend Aja-Monet (yes she IS the girl at the end of "Rosado" w/Charles Hamilton). Born in Brooklyn(east New York)she's The Poet.

WALLET AND CHARM CULTURE

  At our Craft Fair we released our wallets and charm bracelets, (we tried to have make our charm bracelet catch the light lol and show it from all angles). Our wallets were originally created for Domestic awareness month (october) but we realized 2 things 1) women arent the only ones abused domestically and 2) Domestic Abuse isnt the only thing that people need more awareness about. so meditated on it and the design gods said to us "Dont be late maybe vintage perhaps?" so we decided that 20% of our sales for our WoMens wallets will go towards : the country who's flag is painted and Breast Cancer, Aids,and Domestic Abuse charity of your choice All charms are hand sewn and hand painted as are all wallets.

Craft Fair

Our first craft fair was this past saturday. BOY OH BOY. We had the first day jitters, SO NERVOUS! one of us described it  as "shaking in our sequins nervous" but it was such a learning experience the nerves eventually left,and we started to spread the word about CP. It was fun!

RETAIL CULTURE!!!!!!!

We're also going to be in a craft show thrown by the store Lenny and Me   Saturday Dec. 5th @ 1459 n. milwuake ave and Sunday @ 1323 n. Milwuakee ave from 12-7 both days.We will be selling more CP products at the craft show and the following week in the store<-(this will be our 2nd retail account!!)

Both stores are in Wicker Park  so if you're in Chicago and stop by, both stores are VERY different but the 1 thing they have in common is that they both have been cultured!

New Pin Culture

While in the art store we got samples of canvas paper did some fooling around and came up with a Mondrian hand painted pin, we randomly had a handpainted british flag painted on cotton canvas so I slapped it on the back to make it  bit more sturdy. B/c of that all backs of  CP  pins have a flag painted on the bag. Tesha B bought one and wore it at a shoot! she also purchased a "Martinique Born" necklace,  and a Keith Haring "Wedding" pin she then had us fill an order for she and her coworkers Piet Mondrian "Mondrian" pin   below are pics of Tesha B and her custom order (front& back) 

Then our friend Joe from the clothing line vita-morte told us that Keith Haring is his favorite artist so we made him this 

After Vic Lloyd saw Joe's design he states how excited he was about rcieving the first one EVER made like this *insert 1st grade whine here* "why does Joe get the cool one?" 

 So we made Vic him a "DJ" pin orginally by Keith Haring recreated by the wonderful women of Cultured Pink

While up late making a very merry 21st bday present for April Pink (yep once you make a purchase youre officially a Pink) she told me she was going to N.Y. Fashion Week which is always inspiring so I dug a bit deeper in the CP vault and look what we came up with!  Earrings are $15/ 30 pounds (sorry my computers american).  CP
